- A federal employee who will be retiring next year due to the closing of my place of work (Fort McPherson, GA, which is located in Atlanta).
- A retired Army Reserve Officer (lieutenant colonel) who participated as a Army Headquarters staff officer in Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
- An active tax consultant who prepare all types of individual returns, small business returns, the occasional partnership return, and non-resident alien returns. This tax business will be my primary source of income starting in 2012. Because of the tax business, I do NOT play poker AT ALL from 15 January to 30 April each year.
- A recreational poker player who plays on-line (PokerStars and BoDog) and live (mostly at Las Vegas and some in Biloxi).
- A moderately avid science fiction reader. mostly military SciFi.
- A family man (I have EIGHT children, oldest being 31 and youngest being 17).
- A moderate Republican who thought the Republican got what they deserved in 2008, but wonders what will be left when the American people come to their senses and make Obama a one-term president.
This blog will address any of the topics listed above, plus anything else I think relevent (it is, after all, MY blog).
